Camera Concept
The Idea
The original aim was to develop a security camera that could provide
pictures and videos via the Internet in a simple way, without
additional computer(s) and specialised software.
Easy Connection
With easy connection to any existing PC or data network infrastructure
and due to its many integrated sensors, the camera is ideally
suited to video
surveillance coupled with a pro-active alarm system.
Universal Connections
Connection to the viewer can be set up via integrated ethernet, ISDN or via an external analog modem.
Optionally a GSM-module can be integrated.
No Power Supply Necessary
With low power consumption and easy power over ethernet connection the Mobotix
camera range is easy to position without the
extra cost of installing a dedicated power feed. Optional
internal battery support or solar powered linkage can provide hours of
back-up and thereby allowing images to be saved in the
event of power failure.
Stereo Camera
The stereo version of the camera opens up a new dimension of
image enhancement processing, distance and range. In this way, a camera
assigned with a surveillance task can reliably differentiate between thrown
shadows, irregularly shaped, or moving objects.
Internet Live
The MOBOTIX security cameras independently update pictures on a
homepage without the use of an additional computer. Visual information is
therefore immediately available on the Internet.
Event controlled
Use of the Web browser provides flexibility in scheduling the
transmission of pictures and images, not only at fixed times but also through
event-driven incidents, for example, triggering the motion detector,
microphone, activation of contact switch or change in the screen image.
Plug and Play
With quick set factory defaults and simple re-positioning due to POE, the
greatest problem with this camera is likely to be the
vast choice of configurations you have at your fingertips to define event
triggering and sending.
Image Processor
The image processor in the camera ensures optimal picture
quality and automatically controls brightness, colour, contrast and sharpness.
Light variation due to time of day or night is also automatically corrected.
Built-In Webserver
With web compliant images stored directly in the
camera and / or computer / server, event information can be
directly published on the Internet. This cuts down on costs and increases
event response speeds.
