Camera Concept
The Idea
The original aim was to develop a camera that could provide
pictures and videos on the Internet in the least complicated way possible,
without additional computer(s) and specialised software.
The Evolution
With ISDN-imagephone and videofax being so easily accessible
and due to its many integrated sensors, the camera is ideally
suited to video
surveillance and as an alarm system.
Universal Connections
The connection to the viewer can be set up via the integrated
Ethernet, ISDN or via an external analog modem and mobile telephone.
Optionally a GSM-module can be integrated.
No Power Supply Necessary
In low power mode a power consumption of 1 watt allows
operation from the ISDN-Net without any additional power source. An optional
internal accu can provide hours of back-up and thereby save images in the
event of a power failure. With a solar panel and an integrated GSM module
wireless operation is possible.
Stereo Camera
The stereo version of the camera opens up a new dimension of
image enhancement processing: distance and range. In this way, a camera
assigned with a surveillance task can reliably differentiate between thrown
shadows, irregularly shaped, or moving objects.
Easy Connection
To connect via ISDN, simply plug in the telephone cable. Just
replace the phone number of your Internet provider in your browser
(Netscape™,Explorer™, Firefox™, Mozilla™) with the phone number of the camera and you are
connected to the camera.
Internet Live
The MOBOTIX camera independently updates pictures on a
homepage, without the use of an additional computer. Visual information is
therefore immediately available on the Internet, considerably enhancing the
attractiveness of the Homepage.
Event controlled
Use of the Web browser provides flexibility in scheduling the
transmission of pictures and images, not only at fixed times but also through
event-driven incidents, for example, triggering the motion detector,
microphone, activiation of contact switch or change in the screen image.
Plug and Play
As straightforward as a telephone - all you need for
communication and power supply is an ISDN connection. Then, using a Web
browser or remote control, simply type in the domain, access code and
password.
Image Processor
The image processor in the camera ensures optimal picture
quality and automatically controls brightness, colour, contrast and sharpness.
Light variation due to time of day or night is also automatically corrected.
Built-In Webserver
With the complete website loaded into the
camera, using an ISDN connection and without an additional server, it can be
directly published on the Internet. This feature cuts down costs and allows a
high image rate, as well as access to the most current images.
